Metasomn
A downloadable Dream for Windows
What happens to the dream when the dreamer awakens?

Explore the dream of the old god Rone, the embodiment of industrial decay. Armed with an old double-barrel, you fight your way through strange and bizarre creatures in an attempt to wake her from eternal slumber and set yourself free.

Metasomn features a unique combination of retro dungeon crawler controls with inventive drag and drop reloading mechanics. Open and close the barrels at any time to swap ammo types, customize your load out, and discard spent shells.

The realm envisioned by Rone is dark and strange. Learn to navigate the structure in search of answers.
Metasomn was made as an entry for Noise Jam 4. It doesn't follow the optional theme, but it does aim to be noisy, crunchy, and distorted. In fact the full release will have even more of those elements! We dreamed this project much to large for the scope of the jam, so I'm glad to say we're continuing development and working towards creating a full version some time in the next few months. For now this demo will give you a taste of some of the basic, founding mechanics that we plan to expand on throughout the game.
